For this lyre I combined my version of the British museum, my soundboard gradients, as on the lyre making Cd/Download/book with the body form from Jan van Capelle's revised plan, Boxwood pegs and tailpiece, maple and plum bridges, aquila strings. no soundholes on this lyre. The wood used was from a single plank I had been saving for many years, a lovely figured lightweight maple wood. The soundboard was hand sawn fron the same tree, the adjacent quartersawn plank.
