Making a Lyre bag: Part 2 by Michael J King

Lyre bag made from sheepskin for Sutton Hoo lyre replica There will be a full write up or my blog and the upcoming Lyre making book. Message me if you are interested. Just a quick walkthrough here. I spent most of the time stitching and shearing the skin card template used for the flap section that was sewn on. Scissors and Dog Hair Clippers used to reduce the sheepskin depth in places. Staghorn toggle as a fastener, leather woven cord. Sheepskins sewn with saddle stitching.

Sutton Hoo Lyre 2023 by Michael J King

For this lyre I combined my version of the British museum, my soundboard gradients, as on the lyre making Cd/Download/book with the body form from Jan van Capelle's revised plan,  Boxwood pegs and tailpiece,  maple and plum bridges, aquila strings. no soundholes on this lyre.  The wood used was from a single plank I had been saving for many years,  a lovely figured lightweight maple wood.  The soundboard was hand sawn fron the same tree, the adjacent quartersawn plank.

The Daily Action List: 75 Day Planner from Michael J King

You can now get my new planner book on Amazon in 6x9" Hardback or pocket size 5x8" paperback.
This is a system I have been using along for quite some time.
Making some books for myself to keep all my lists and schedules together was the main aim to begin with but I am now offering this for others to use. It's a simple list and schedule system that actually works.
Over time you can use the data for even better planning,

The book has several chapters on how to use it with some examples and there are 75 days to fill in that should see you getting some good habits formed and things done.
